Christmas Tree

Today, in honor of Andrew's birthday, he got to work from 10-3. And then we went to a tree farm to get a Christmas Tree. This is the first time that we have done that, I personally have decided that it should be our new tradition. When we left our house the snow was almost all rained away, so we didn't really think to put on snow boots or anything. But the snow was not gone at the tree farm. Instead, it was a regular Winter Wonderland of trees. Washington style. Complete with rain coming from the sky and snow on the ground.
The tree farm was great, they provided us with a tree saw, which was exciting for Andrew.
We found a beautiful little Douglas Fir.
Andrew cut it down all by himself (He was smart and brought gloves).
He hauled it back to the car all by himself (I carried the tree saw). He says he looks like Sasquatch, I think he looks like an Eskimo.
And we strapped it to the roof of our car.
Now maybe if he finishes enough of his homework we will have time to bring the tree in and go out to dinner to make his birthday a little bit more celebration like!

Happy belated Birthday Andrew! I love Christmas trees. I think that we might actually go and get one this year too....that is if Kevin finishes HIS homework.
