We have a new addition to the family! She was kind of an accident, completely unplanned. She has been hanging around our apartment building for the last few days, we would see her especially late at night. She had come inside and visited a few times and it was hilarious to watch her run around, she had no fear of our big kitties. Friday night we got home after 1am and she was asleep on the stairs. She followed us on up and wanted to come in, so we let her (suckers I know). We decided to let her sleep on the deck with some food and a little box and see if we couldn't find a home for her on Saturday. Well we found her a home, OURS :) We decided on a whim to keep her ourselves, totally unlike us. But she fits in perfectly....
Here is a picture of John and Paul not long after we brought them home....
And here is a picture of Abbey after a good night's rest and a meal.
Abbey is pretty small still, hasn't been spayed, and she had a lot of fleas (don't worry we have given her multiple flea baths). We don't think that she belonged to anyone, but we are on the lookout for missing kitten signs just in case.
After some good solid sleep and food, I don't think Abbey has stopped moving for more than 5 minutes. It makes it really hard to get a good picture of her.
She keeps us very entertained. Even after bathing her twice, she still likes us. She responded much better to bathing than John and Paul did.
She enjoys the fishtank already, a sure sign that she will fit it.
John and Paul all already adjusting. She teases Paul a lot, he responds with mixture of amusement and annoyance. John took a little bit to get over his fear of her, but he is starting to be a little more interested. He is still pretty edgy, but getting back to his normal self. Feel free to tell us we are crazy to have three cats...we already think that too!
