In Memory of Josh

Josh Ward passed away Friday afternoon after a car accident on his way home from school. For more information on the accident, click here.

Josh was very special and loved by everyone who knew him. His death has affected many, both family and friends. As his family, we deeply appreciate reading all of the postings people have left regarding their love for Josh. Your kind words have helped us immensely. Please feel free to send pictures and post comments at the bottom of this post so that we may all have a shared location in which we can remember Josh. As Josh's family we are checking his facebook and his friends have set up a memorial page. If you are interested in viewing this page you can click here or contact us for more information.

Funeral services will be held for Josh on Wednesday, June 24 at the LDS meeting house in Carnation at 32751 Entwistle. There will be a viewing from 9:30-10:30 am followed by funeral services at 11:00 am. Funeral services are open to everyone who knew Josh, so please help us make sure that this invitation makes it's way to all who want to be in attendance.

Again, thank you. And please don't stop sharing your thoughts, love, and pictures.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made, in Josh's name, to www.bridgeofpromise.org.

Oh Lauriel! My heart goes out to your family! Please tell your Mom I am thinking of you and your family!

Now some memories...
I remember Josh in France he was always wearing a cute little tie to church and he loved playing with all the missionaries. He also spoke french very well, he was so willing to learn and to teach. He was such a good big brother and very tender hearted I could see in his eyes how much he loved his brother and sisters. He will be sadly missed and know that we are thinking of him and your family! With love, Melissa

I work with Steve at Boeing and have enjoyed his many stories about Josh's running, wrestling and Scouting. Many wonderful memories. My prayers are with Josh and your family. This is a tragic loss to your family and your community.

Lauriel,

I am so shocked and saddened by this news of your brother. I can understand the pain and sorrow that your family and you are feeling right now. To lose someone that you love is so hard and so unreal...it never truly feels like reality.

Our thoughts and prayers will be with you. Call me if you want to talk, I really do know what it is like to lose a sibling.

I never really knew your little brother, but I am sure that he was a wonderful person. All the people in your family are special and have such kind hearts...I am sure he will be missed.

Love you,
Emily Hollingshead
