Homemade Gifts

Like I mentioned yesterday, our only holiday regret was that we didn't end up making more of the gifts we gave.  The hustle and bustle of the mall, and watching the attitudes of all the stressed out people shopping their always bum us out.  We are so much happier when we spend our time making meaningful, personal gifts for the people we love.  And it's so much more memorable to receive a homemade gift that you really couldn't get anywhere else.  We just need to plan a little bit better and start working on ideas a little bit earlier.  Andrew did really well with his knitting this year though and made two nice gifts, his knitting is getting pretty impressive.

This hat he is modeling for his brother Tyler.
And these fingerless gloves for my mom.
Next year...we will do better.

I love my fingerless gloves (they look just like yours only gray), they work great for hanging clothes on the line on cold days.

Way to go, Andrew!! Are the gloves "fetching"? And congrats on the diploma and student teaching. Life is getting awfully "grown up" over there...
