Sorry for the sporadic blogging, but life has been crazy the last week. And it probably won't be slowing down anytime soon.
Here's the recap, more details later:
Monday: we got approved for a mortgage!
Tuesday: Andrew taught trumpet lessons, and then we looked at some homes online that our real estate agent sent us.
Wednesday: Dinner with friends, a much needed break!
Thursday: Andrew taught some more trumpet lessons, and then we had our first birth class.
Friday: We crashed at home, and browsed more listings.
Saturday: We spent 4 1/2 hours driving a large loop around the county doing drive-bys of houses for sale and narrowing the list of places that we are interested in. Then dinner with friends at our place.
Sunday: We spent 4 1/2 hours driving around with Andy, our wonderful real estate agent, and touring homes. And...we made an offer on one!
Monday: The sellers made a counter offer, we talked to our lender, we accepted their counteroffer. We went out to dinner to celebrate our exciting purchase (not to celebrate Valentine's Day, we don't do that). Then I filed our taxes while Andrew worked on a transcription.
Tuesday: Andrew dropped off our earnest money and is now teaching a full evening of lessons. I set up an inspection on our possible soon to-be home and am working on listing some things on craiglist.
Want to hear about the next week? It's just as crazy:
Wednesday: 20 weeks pregnant! I have an appointment with naturopath, Lucy goes to daycare, and then we catch our breath.
Thursday: Andrew leaves with the Western Wind Ensemble to go on tour and go the MENC conference (a music conference) I go to our birthing class.
Friday: I drop Lucy off at the kennel, then head down to meet Andrew at MENC.
Saturday: MENC conference in Bellevue.
Sunday: Check out and drive home.
Monday: Pick up Lucy at the kennel. Home inspection in the am, 20 week ultrasound in the afternoon.
And I can't think past that point. I still have posts from last week that are almost done, and I have tons of things I want to write about. I want to share pictures of our potential new home, tell you about our midwives and our birth class, mention the things we are getting rid of...the list goes on. Maybe I will have time, but don't hold your breath.
