But with nothing specific that I feel motivated to blog about. Especially with Andrew gone on a band trip tonight...I'm feeling lazy and unmotivated.
Less then 6 weeks left until baby is due and less then a month left of work, time is flying!
My house is a mess. But the kind of mess that would take an hour to clean if I really just got up and did it.
We had two baby showers last weekend, one on Saturday and one on Monday. They were both perfect and we were thoroughly spoiled. I'm waiting for pictures and then I will tell you more about them.
I'm having braxton-hicks contractions fairly frequently now.
We got a dozen eggs from our neighbors today. So glad to be getting fresh eggs again, but I wish we had the funds right now to build our own chicken coop.
Our next visit with the midwives is a home visit.
Lucy is driving me crazy because she keeps barking at all of the kids playing outside. It doesn't help that they keep running up to pet her and then running away again.
I'm craving cherry-coke slurpees. And the 7-11 isn't that far out of my way on my way home from work.
I got free plant starts today from the Life Skills students at our school...and I'm too lazy to go plant them tonight.
The baby's room is looking bright and cheerful with a finished dresser and some awesome homemade quilts. Just need to get a few last things, get organized, and finished those murals. If I weren't so lazy tonight I would go take some pictures and show off our progress.
I finally got some good fitting nursing bras. And I'm much more comfortable. I should have done it a month ago.
I weigh exactly the same as I did when I started weight watchers and decided to get healthy a couple of years ago. But my clothes don't fit the same. Bodies are funny things.
There are tons of lilacs blooming around here right now. I love their smell. So glad we have lilacs in our yard.
I love reading Ina May Gaskin's books. I just got another one from our midwives at my appointment yesterday and I already love it. They are perfect for a positive mindset at this point in pregnancy.
I have been applying for jobs for next year, there are a few at some school districts about 40 minutes away. I want to stay at my school. Change is a hassle and I don't want to commute. The state budget is set or close to it, so I'm hoping our district will know more soon.
We've planted onions, peas, and kale in our new garden plot. And I have an awesome strawberry patch that I love. I want to get some beans and squashes going.
I'm excited to see my family this weekend, and for the extra day of sleeping in and being away from work.
I think I'm going to take a bath and go to bed early tonight.
