A Perfect Summer Sunday

We had a gorgeous, classic summer day the Sunday before Scout's arrival (the 26th). It was warm and sunny, maybe even hot for around here! After reading and drinking coffee on the deck until about noon, we rode the scooter into Bellingham, a nice 20 minute ride. Then we took this guy (Max) our to lunch for his birthday.
Max the birthday boy.
After lunch, we met up with some other friends and attended the Abstract Music Festival at Maritime Heritage Park. It was quite nice to sit around on the grass with friends, listen to entertaining music, soak up some sun, and crowd watch.

After a lovely few hours in the park, Andrew and I moved on to Fairhaven where we picked up soft serve, ice cream cones. 50 flavors to choose from! German Chocolate for me and Blackberry for Andrew.  Our evening was finished off with a lovely dinner at home with our friend Mary. Perfect summer day right?
