Visiting Poppy

On August 17th, we got to spend less than 24 hours with my Granny and Poppy. My Poppy has been in the hospital for over a month now and that little chunk of time was the only time we could find to get down to Portland to visit them.  We booked the end of our summer a little too full with vacations and getting ready for the school/work year!  We wished we could have spent more time with them, but were glad we were able to stop by.  Here are a few pictures of our visit!

P.S.  I've decided that Scout decides to be a cranky pants every time we really want her to be happy and cheerful.  When we are just hanging out at home, she's pretty easy going and mostly smiles.  Take her somewhere to show her off or to cheer someone up...you get cranky pants.  I know it's because she doesn't get to sleep good, and she is demanding about her naps.  She's not awful, we can usually manage, she is mostly just fussy and really only wants to be held by us.  But I really wish she didn't need to sleep, alone, in her crib, every 45 min to an hour.  It would make it much easier to take her out to play!  And it would be nice if everyone else got to see her smiles too! Don't judge her too harshly in these pictures, she was not pleased at her lack of good sleep!
