Hey, guess what?  We are alive.  Alive and well, just haven't been blogging for a while.  We've had an awesome summer, really soaked up life together, filling our days in ways that felt right to us.  School has officially started here, meaning we are back to work and busy (overfilled) schedules.  It's this time of the year that I usually start feeling like blogging/writing/journalling again.  I seem to feel that urge when it's hard to find time to sit down and sort through my thoughts, when life just keeps going and going (good, just goes fast!), when I want to make sure I'm catching all of it.  I don't feel that way in the summer.  I feel present and undistracted, like I can really just enjoy whatever we are doing at that moment.  So, I have intentions to make time for this space during the school year, but no promises.  If it doesn't happen, it doesn't happen.

Lots of little tidbits that I could share about our life right now, things I'm hoping to get to in the near future, but for right now, our big news is this coming attraction.
That's right, we've got another little one on the way!  If you happen to fill like reading the fine print, you will notice that this picture is a few weeks old, from the end of July.  It's no secret that I'm pregnant so if you are reading this, feel free to tell anyone that you so desire.  And I'm sorry if I've seen you and haven't told you in person, I'm having this strange difficulty spitting the words out in a conversation.  It's like, if we get past the "Hi, how you doing?" and I don't say it right away then I don't know how to get the words out.  And then, the longer I go without saying anything, the weirder I feel about bringing it up.  I know, strange awkwardness.  Again, sorry if I haven't told you in person, there are a lot of you so don't take it personally!  I don't think it's going to stay fairly quiet much longer though as I've noticed this past week that this bump is getting slightly more obvious and that people keep glancing as though they are wondering.

The details thus far:
  • I'm due March 12, maybe I will get a baby for a birthday present!  That makes me about 13-14 weeks along.
  • Yes, I've been sick again.  It's not fun, and I'm tired of puking and feeling nauseous,  tired of losing weight instead of gaining (I might regret saying that later!), and tired of not being able to think of any food that sounds good.  Slurpees not included.  Can you survive on Slurpees alone?
  • We are super excited about this baby, after my miscarriage almost a year ago we were starting to feel a bit discouraged...then this!
  • As we did with Scout, we are not going to find out if we are having a boy or a girl, we are excited about having either and really liked waiting to be surprised at the delivery!
  • Also as we did with Scout, we would again like to try having a homebirth with our midwives, if we end up at the hospital again, so be it.  We still enjoyed laboring at home and are hopeful that my body/baby will be more cooperative this time around.

Congratulations! Rachelle told me when we saw them last that you were on your way to a family of four. I figured I'd pop over to see the news for myself. :) So happy for you! Scout's going to be an awesome big sis! (And she is over the moon adorable by the way.)
