Playroom #1

So we have this kind of (understatement) big project going on.  It's almost (relatively) done, and it's amazing.  Andrew has been converting one of our garage in a bedroom/playroom space for our girls.  This house had two garages when we moved in, one of which was part of the house structure and and attached to the house, the second was more of an add on.  Andrew has been remodeling the main garage, 300 sq feet, since November.  We've had a lot of help (physically and mentally) from family and friends, and Andrew has put in a ton of time working and learning.

This is a huge addition for us as our house was originally about 900 sq feet.  Blogging about this project seems daunting, so plan many posts over the next few weeks as I catch you up on our remodeling.

Step 1:  Take out garage door and build concrete footing to match the rest of the foundation.  This was done with the help of a friend, Ben, on November 16th.

Step 2:  Frame in window and seal the outside.  Done the next weekend, November 23.
