Last week, we had did some visiting down South, I took my national board exams, and my brother graduated. In all of the scheduling, I realized that we had nothing planned for Thursday and decided to meet up with my sister at the Woodland Park Zoo. We hadn't been in over a year, and I Scout seemed like just the perfect age to love it. Us adults were slightly worried how a 3 year old, a 2 year year old, a 10 month old and a 3 month old would do wandering around all day, especially because the little ones are pretty nap dependent.  We got there about 1030, and lasted until around 430 (I think). All of the kids did great, even though they were all beat by the end of the day. Levi and Scout alternated between stroller rides and walking with no naps, Miles lounged in the stroller without napping all day, and Elena traded between stroller and Ergo with a few short naps throughout the day. We wandered the whole zoo, several times over.  We didn't stop and stare carefully at every exhibit, but we saw just about everything there.  Pretty good team!

Pictures at the zoo are always kind of silly to me, but Scout really liked this Komodo Dragon and he was watching us like he wanted his picture taken.  So we obliged.

Scout and Levi loved watching the penguins swim.  This is the area where Scout tripped and broke her tooth on our last zoo trip.  She kept reminding me that she would be careful and walk this time.  Thankfully, no tripping or teeth breaking occurred on this visit.

They also roared ferociously at the jaguar (and the other people watching the jaguar), asked if the alligator was going to eat them, and climbed lion statues.

After which they decided they needed a treat, lollipops were chosen (over ice cream and cotton candy?)

In all, I'd say it was a successful, enjoyable zoo trip.  I might even be willing to go again :)
