It's Monday again, and I am feeling so much better about this week than I was last week. I feel like we are back to our normal selves and not just surviving anymore. Not everything is perfect (because when is it ever?) but life feels good and the problems feel manageable. I think we are adjusting to this pace of life again. We spent the weekend together as a family, being very productive getting our house in order. My brain (meaning my mental state) always feels much better when the house is squared away and we are organized. Andrew tackled the yard with a good mowing, weed whacking, mole hill filling, and blackberry bramble pulling while I got the laundry done, some kids clothes sorted, some applesauce processed, and some food made. We even found time to go to Costco/Best Buy together...on a Saturday, which is crazy of us!
I tried something new this weekend, cutting boards to put together a coat hanging system for the playroom. Andrew was a good coach, and it was (slightly) less scary than I thought it would be. Still not comfortable enough to do it on my own, but I can imagine being there someday.
