What I Read

Book Mania: Cultivating love and passion for reading.
I first shared about Book Mania here.  It is an inspirational blog of book masterpieces, literary excerpts, beautiful libraries, bookshelves, bookshops & cool book stuff.  I could daydream about these photos all day.

Design Mom: Where design and motherhood intersect.
I first shared about Design Mom here. I know nothing about design and I'm just learning about motherhood, but I love this website just the same.  In fact, I started reading this blog long before I became a mother.  I love the crafty ideas, fun family ideas, kids book suggestions, and best of all, the birth stories.  They are my absolute favorite.

Farmgirl Fare:  Recipes, stories, and photos from my crazy country life on rural 240 remote Missouri.
I first shared about Farmgirl Fare here.  I love this site for so many reasons.  First, they are actually living on a working farm.  Second, they laugh at their animals and share tons of amazing photos of their antics.  Third and maybe most important, Susan share amazing recipes.  Haven't had one that didn't work out.  You can view the recipe index here.  This is where Andrew got the recipe for sandwich bread; we also like the brussels sprout recipe, and the

Honey the Great Dane:  Drooling, dancing, and a few adventures in between.
I first shared about Honey the Great Dane here.  I love reading about Honey's adventures and the training that Hsin-Yi does with her.  We get lots of great ideas of tricks to work on with Lucy and just general good dog training advice.  Plus Hsin-Yi is an awesome writer, I feel like I know them personally.  My favorite post, and one that I think everyone should read is So you want a doggie like me? I highly recommend it if you want some insight in to what life with a Great Dane is like.

Quick Takes with the Kimballs:  While we can't promise witty humor, expert photography, or cute crafts, we can promise life.  Life is always keeping us busy and we want to share the highlights.
I first shared about Quick Takes with the Kimballs here.  I love reading about my sister, her husband, and their adorable little boy!

You Grow Girl:  Gardening for the People
I first shared about You Grow Girl here.  I love Gayla's gardening for anybody, anywhere attitude.  I have one of her books and I love it.  I first started following her blog when we lived in an apartment and I was gardening in containers on the back deck and dreaming of someday owning land.  What she writes about, and the pictures she takes, are just as accessible then as they are now..
